PS4 Backward Compatibility on PS5: What You Need to Know
The PS5 is capable of running the vast majority of PS4 games, with around 4,000 compatible titles. This is great news if you want to keep access to your game library. However, be cautious: some games are explicitly reserved for PS4. You can easily identify them on the PlayStation Store with the label "Playable on: PS4 only."
For an optimal experience on PS5, make sure to use appropriate hardware, including a PS5 controller recommended to ensure perfect compatibility. Also, even if a PS4 game is compatible with PS5, it may sometimes have minor bugs or glitches on the new console. This is rare, but if it happens, check for any available updates that could resolve these issues.
