In *Dragonkin: The Banished*, you explore a world corrupted by dragon blood, responsible for the emergence of malevolent and wicked creatures. You embody one of 4 hero classes whose sole motivation is to hunt and fight dragon monsters. Each enemy brings you closer to your ultimate goal: finding and eliminating the Dragon Lords.

Each hero has developed unique abilities and combat techniques to face dragons. As you progress, your character, their equipment, your dragon companion, and your Ancestral Grid evolve.
- The Barbarian: Like his father before him, he survived ingesting white dragon blood and gained ice powers without losing his humanity. Thanks to his supernatural strength, his attacks intensify as the battle progresses.
- The Oracle: Transformed by blue dragon blood, she dreams of a world where dragons and humans coexist. Her electric draconic powers allow her to keep enemies at a distance.
- The Knight: Trained in combat since childhood, he is a master of the fire lance and shield. His faith in the Eternal and his determination make him impervious to draconic corruption.
- The Tracker: The best hunter of her clan, she relies on exceptional skills. Arrows, knives, and traps combined with toxic draconic substances make up her arsenal.

The Ancestral Grid skill system is an innovative mechanic to develop your character and make them a unique fighter. Earn skills as loot from battles and place them in the grid, adjacent to multiple modifiers. Optimize the placement of these elements to choose your combat style and gain power. Each hero has their own grid and infinite combinations of skills and modifiers.
